John Hilden is a transplanted Wisconsinite who has lived in the U.P. for the better part of the last 55 years.  His first unpromising efforts appeared in 1966 although it took him seven years before he wrote something that actually was a poem.  Never prolific, he's had something of a renaissance in the past year writing more poems that in the previous 50 years combined. He is the author of the poetry collection: Further Up the Vine. He lives in Marquette with his long-suffering wife Carolyn and two cats, Myrtle and Ellie.
