Winter Poet Tree is an Interactive Display in the Peter White Public Library Winter Wonderland Walk. The tree is decorated with red tags. Each tag has a QR code. The codes can be scanned to hear winter and holiday poems by Marquette Poets Circle poets and M. Bartley Seigel, current U. P. Poet Laureate and Martin Achatz, former U.P. Poet Laureate. ​

The Marquette Poets Circle is a group of local poets. They meet once a month  to plan events, workshop poems, borrow books and literary journals and share submitting tips for publications and contests. An Open Mic follows the monthly meeting. It is open to the public and free.
