The 2nd Annual Sidewalk Chalk Poetry Contest will be on Tuesday, June 25th from 4:00-7:00pm in Studio 1 of the MACC in the lower level of Peter White Public Library.

 

The event is FREE and chalk will be provided.

 

Come write your poems between 4:00-6:00pm, then stick around for the prizes and refreshments in the PWPL Huron Mountain Club Gallery!  Thank you Domino's for your generous donation!!

 

There will be five contests: K-2nd grade, 3rd-5th grade, 6th-8th grade, High School, and Adult. A first place prize will be given in each contest. Winning poems will be published. 

 

The Contest theme is "The Forest". Write about your favorite forest critter, trees or fungi. Put in words whatever lives in the woods.

 

Poems must be no longer than 10 lines.

Judges will remove  and  disqualify offensive poems. 

 

To register, simply show up and check in the day of the event.
